Peels involve the application of a chemical product to facial skin to treat aging.
By deeply stimulating elastin and collagen fibers, peels can eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, reduce their depth and erase blemishes. They improve skin quality and firmness. They homogenize skin surface and color, creating the appearance of healthy skin.
They are effective treatments, provided you choose the right peel:
Superficial with glycolic acid
Medium with trichloroacetic acid.
Peels stimulate cell renewal and help to improve :
Skin aging (wrinkles & fine lines),
Skin tone and elasticity,
Moderate acne and superficial scars,
Diffuse pigmentation irregularities,
Lentigines,
actinic, seborrheic or pilary keratoses
Pseudofolliculitis of the beard.
The practitioner will suggest a program adapted to your skin phototype. The protocol of in-office peeling sessions and home treatments will be adapted according to the alteration to be treated and the desired result.
Skin aging :
The first signs, which vary from person to person, appear around the age of thirty, manifested by a thinning of the dermis and epidermis and a loss of water and elastic fibers.
Several factors can be responsible for skin aging: sun exposure, hormonal aging and environmental factors such as pollution, tobacco, alcohol, stress, etc.
Various techniques can be used to reduce or slow down the visible signs of aging: hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin injections, peels and multiple lasers. Several of these techniques can be combined for ideal results.
The essential action of peels is to stimulate elastin and collagen production, using different components adapted to each type of peel.
Pigmentation :
A variety of pigmentary disorders hinder the complexion’s uniformity, radiance and luminosity.
The agent responsible for these disorders is melanin, a pigment genetically present in the skin.
The sun, artificial UV rays and the hormonal system can lead to melanin pigment deposits that can alter certain areas of the epidermis.
A peel is an effective solution for restoring your skin’s radiance and uniformity. It eliminates the surface layer of the epidermis containing the pigments responsible for blemishes, restoring even pigmentation.
